Great Cookbook Collections II: Texas Woman’s University Cookbooks

We hope that La Cocina Historica inspires readers to visit the University of Texas in San Antonio. However, for those of you who live a little (or a lot) further away, we’ll also post occasional links to some other great cookbook collections.

Located just north of Dallas in Denton, TX, Texas Woman’s University’s Cook Book Collection includes 15,000 books and 3,500 vendor’s pamphlets, as well as conduct manuals and menus from around the world. Its date coverage ranges from the 17th to the 20th century. Read more about the collection and the history of its donors on the collection page. To search for specific titles or subjects, see TWU’s catalog. Enjoy!
